Newborn Panda Hat

Made this hat yesterday for a friend of mine.  Turned out so cute, love the eyes.  I saw an adorable Kung Fu Panda on Etsy so I think since my Brother in law loved the movie so much I'm going to make him the hat for his birthday.

My First Dress

I made this dress for Eva, so so super cute.  I'm going to make the next one with sleeves
I love having a little girl to make things for.

Fall Flapper Hat

So I've been busy this Spring and Summer creating new hat designs.  And my lovely Friend Jana and Selina are helping me with getting nice pictures done of my stuff.  That is a tremendous help.  I cannot say how amazing it's been to have them.
So I am still working on rehabing my red Chandelier, and I haven't even started my ottoman yet.  I've been so busy keeping up with Hat orders and all that fun stuff.  I will be sure to post pics when they are done though.
My wonderful husband went to town today and stopped at a garage sale and bought me a whole box of padded mailing envelopes for $2 that is wonderful, I will never have to buy them again I don't think, not for a while anyway.  I am so blessed.

Flapper Hat With Flowers & Ottoman Project

You

You're probably wondering what is she going to do with that ugly white leather ottoman? will this is the future of my ottoman, a friend of mine gave me the idea so I am going to make my own version of this.  I am not sure when, but I will be sure to post pictures of it when I'm finished.  I got the old white leather ottoman at a thrift store for $2, so fingers crossed.
This is the other hat I made yesterday too, this one and the owl hat.  I love the big fun flowers.
Today is beautiful and sunny and I'm hoping to get the trampoline set up for the kids.  I'm going to attempt it on my own since Alfredos at work, I watched a video on youtube.com of how to set one up, I feel empowered, I can do this!!!

Manic Wednesday!!!

Finished two hats I had for an order, got 3 more to do.  The weather is gorgeous, I think that spring is here and summer is close on it's heels.  Yea!! my burn has healed from last wednesday, the blisters are gone so now I have a base peely tan that will eventually stop peeling.  And so here are the pictures of the hats I did last night and today.  Poor Ben had to model it for me since he's 4 and the hat is a size 4, he was so brave and was a good sport.

It's Rosette Season

The Green one is definitely my favorite.  I have a bunch of rosette cuffs I need to photograph too.  I can hardly wait to strap one on with a cute sundress and go on a date with my hubby or something.

Baby Chloe in my purple and green owl hat.

I am not as good as I thought at this blogging thing.  I have gotten so busy lately with my orders that I've neglected it.
I got a phone call on Wednesday from a gal in Spokane that I had sold an owl hat to, she wanted  me to see the picture of her baby in the hat that I'd made for her.  So I have this adorable baby Chloe wearing an owl hat and this baby is so beautiful.  You don't even notice my owl hat.  That she even called made my day and then to see the baby, it just really blessed me.
I just got an order for 75 Rosettes, I'm excited.  I know I'm gonna be so sick of rosettes when I'm done though Lol.  Will this is such a great thing though, making money and being able to stay home with my kids.  It doesn't get any better than that, other than a vacation sometime in the future would be nice.  I can hardly wait for Summer, mesquitos and all.

Weekend With Friends

I've come to Post Falls Idaho to enjoy the good company of friends this weekend.  I am still crocheting like a mad woman, trying to get my wholesale order ready by next week.  I'm so excited about how nice the stuff I'm making is turning out.
I made my daughter Gabby an Owl hat, orange, pink and turqouise to match Eva's it turned out even better than Eva's I think.  Pics coming soon.  I'm going to surprise her with it tomorrow morning in her Easter basket.
Tomorrow the Charlie and Gabby are in the Easter program  at church so we are leaving here later tonight and heading back home.  It's been so nice to get away for a couple days.  Get a breather and a little break.
Also Alfredo found a saddle for Ben to go in his room, I'm so excited about that because we've been looking on Craigslist and nothing has been close enough or the right price.  Well.....today Alfredo built a Greenhouse up in Cocolalla Idaho and low and behold the saddle that he'd had his eye on was still available from Craigslist so he swung by & picked it up.  $40 later we have an adorable child size saddle for Ben and he was already there anyway, Thank you Lord for helping us with this Saddle mission.
So I better go.  Here is a picture of the Owl Hat & Leg Warmers I made yesterday on my way into town.  (No I wasn't driving)

Crocheting Like Crazy

I haven't written on my blog for a while because I've been crocheting so much, filling orders.  Easter is around the corner so I've been making Bunny hats, boy and girls.  The girls hats have ranged in all colors, from brown and pink to pink and purple, they have all turned out so cute.  I love making this stuff.  I'm addicted to crochet!!!

So here are some pictures of my hats.

More Etsy Stuff

These hats are so much fun.  I did one for Gabby to match her snow coat.
I made a bunch of these necklaces in different colors, they are kind of fun to put with a jacket or whatever.

Super old dresser that I am selling on craigslist, I want new carpet so I'm going to try and sell some stuff to get the money together.  I'm on a mission.

Mannequin Display Head

I made this from a head that I have, it's hollow, but stiff enough to be a display head.  The first one didn't turn out that great, then my trusty Hubby helped me with this one and it turned out much better.

My Wall and the awsome Mirror

Livingroom Wall

I have needed to paint the livingroom for a long time, Charlie my 7 year old son had done some art on it and because it's white it showed everything and after a year it was looking totally yuck to me.   So I am far from done, but I've got a good start.  Since my couches are Navy Blue, the curtains white & red and I have alot of red accents, grey seemed like a good option, one that wouldn't be too dark and wouldn't clash with what I have up already.  I went ahead and slapped some grey paint on the wall and put the awsome mirror my hubby got for me.

Thank God It's Friday!!!

My Birthday is Sunday so Alfredo and I get to go out for the day just the two of us tomorrow.  I'm so excited, a whole day just the two of us, that hardly ever happens.  He's planned the day and our friends said that they would come over and watch the kids.
So I went on this website yesterday that my BFF Selina sent the link to.  http://www.remodelaholic.com/.  Okay so amazing!! loved it.  I got so many neat and wonderful ideas off of there.  I can hardly wait to roll up my sleeves and get to work redoing my whole house.  I'm going to do it too.  There is a stencil project that she did that was terrific, however as Alfredo and I talked about it and I looked up stencils online, I realized how much time it would take to cut out my own stencils, so.....here comes the good cheap part.  Find a stencil you like online, copy it onto clear paper, like overhead paper and  then use your churches old overhead projector to put it up on the wall and paint and presto, you can do as big or as small as you want and where ever you want.  I'm so excited to try it.  Next week I'll be posting lots of pictures of my new adventure of making Gabby's room over and all that good stuff.

Creative Wednesday

When I was pregnant with Ben my Mom bought me a green military type jacket so I would have something to wear after I had him and I think maybe I've worn it once or twice, but I couldn't get rid of it for some reason, which is weird for me.  I rarely hang on to anything for very long.

So I guess in the back of my mind I was always going to do something with it, so today I finally did.  I trimmed it in black lace, and of course put a gigantic black crocheted double layer rose on the lapel.  I'm looking forward to wearing it now.  I also cut the sleeves off and trimmed them with black lace as well.  Also got Gabby's new black and white sun dress altered for her and hemmed the neighbor guys pants, shampooed the furniture, know what I'm gonna fix for dinner, the kids are bathed and fed, those are some of the reason that today is so special.  I love getting things done, both fun and responsible.  That is what happens when I get up early and pray and give the day to the Lord.
Gabby and I are going to redo her room in black, white and pink so I will add pictures later of before and after and please don't judge us for the before pictures.

Grey Saturday

Just hanging out today.  Hubby is working, I'm babysitting Pastors grandson Corban.  Nothing at all exciting going on.  I did add some stuff to my Etsy shop.  Got to do something to chase the blues away.  I have become more of an internet junky than ever before in my life.  No wonder this winter is going by so fast.  Hurry Spring, hurry.  I just want to feel the warmth of the sun on my face and see some flowers popping out of the ground.  Heck a blade of grass would even be nice.  Everything is dirty snow and slippery surfaces.
Speaking of sun on my face, I am going to Hawaii for the first time this September.  I am very excited, I've been wanting a vacation so bad since Charlie was in the hospital in 2007.  I felt so exhausted and worn out and I just needed to rest, so here I am 3 years later getting that much needed vacation.  I'm going with my BFF Linda Davis, aka my Pastors wife.  I can hardly wait.
Yesterday was a special day because I got my first order off of Etsy.   The sock monkey hats are selling like hotcakes.  The one I made last night turned out so cute and it's going to a special little 4 month old guy named Jamison, I hope he likes it.  And I know for sure that he is going to look so so adorable in it.

Ok this is better the other one was blurry

Tinga Poblana

Time to step it up with dinners, so for inspiration I went to my old trusty "Mexico the Beautiful" cook book and chose the Tinga Poblana recipe.  Fresh refried beans made on the stove, cooked with onion & garlic and salted later for taste, so yummy.  Alfredo says it's wonderful....(of course it is, we had hotdogs last night for dinner)

I don't know why, I'm just feeling the spirit of Valentines Day this year and want to do something special.  Not sure exactly what that "special something" is, but I'll come up with something.  I think it is these Rosettes I'm making for Moriah, Hazel & Sammi that are getting me in the mood.  One thing I did think would be fun, is pink, red and white tutu's for my girls.  Now that would be cute, maybe even a  little under skirt tule for me.  Ok now I  need to go and get all this stuff.
